The number one ranked member and current leader of the Contract society, Emilia was and is soley focused on the greater good of the society itself.  No one knows about her life prior to the society. Even so she is well respected by most, although some would love to overthrow her and take her spot. 
Emilia wields her sword swiftly and elegantly, the full extent of her power is not fully known but one such power she has demonstrated is the ability to switch positions with someone within seeing range. She has to close her eyes to use this power first.
